Today FC Edmonton announced the signing of Philipe Lincourt-Joseph. A midfielder who has spent time in the Montreal Impact academy and most recently spent time with CD Fatima in Portugal. A team in Portugal’s 3rd division.
Lincourt-Joseph is a Laval, Quebec native adding another Canadian to the roster. Last year with Fatima he appeared in 7 matches and scored 1 goal. I would expect him to be more of a defensive minded midfielder based on the stats I’ve seen.
The first version of FC Edmonton was a very defensive minded group, they are looking for more offence this time around but they still won’t be sacrificing good defensive play, Lincourt-Joseph will help out in this regard.
